2023 High School Students Scholarship Opportunity
Objective:
To recognize graduating high school seniors for academic achievement and to provide financial assistance up to $1,000 so that they may accomplish their future baccalaureate educational goals.
Award Criteria/Submission Requirements
Applicant must be a graduating high school senior in the final half of his/her school year, or a high school graduate within six months of the application deadline.
Applicant must be entering a field of study leading to a degree from an accredited college/university.
Applicant must live/attend a school within 50 miles of Fort Lee, Virginia.
NOTE: Proof of college acceptance will be required before disbursement of the scholarship check to the recipient.
A selection panel will review all applications received and select the scholarship winner(s).
Scholarships will be presented to the student(s) at an ASMC luncheon meeting. The award presentations and names of recipients will be publicized at chapter meetings, in the newsletter, and ASMC website.
Applicant must provide:

Completed Application with Essay

Transcript – A minimum of one Official transcript and two additional copies. Transcripts should verify SAT and/or ACT test scores.

Two letters of recommendation from:
-
(1) high school principal, academic dean, or guidance counselor and
-
(2) high school teacher

School Portrait for Website Publication
Applicant’s scholastic achievements, leadership ability, extracurricular activities, and career/academic goals will be considered and must be documented in letters of recommendation and summarized on the application.
Deadline/Submissions
All completed official forms, certification of scholastic achievement, and letters of recommendation must be emailed to asmcsouthsideva2@gmail.com no later than April 1, 2023.
Late submissions will not be considered.
