Southside Virginia ASMC Chapter Awards
Our Chapter wants to thank all our members for their continued efforts with the Southside Virginia ASMC chapter. Your effort and dedication keeps our chapter going. We would like to recognize those members who are standouts for their time and skills applied to grow the chapter.
Southside Virginia Chapter
Iron Pillar Award
Recognizes an active SSVA Chapter ASMC Member for outstanding and continuous support of the Chapter. This includes significant contribution to existing chapter programs, knowledge sharing events, new initiatives and/or major program revamps.
Any current Southside Virginia Chapter Member may nominate one individual for the Southside Virginia Chapter Iron Pillar Award. Justification should cite specific examples and factual details of individual’s skills and accomplishments and must be submitted by 31 Mar of each year. Executive Board Members will review and judge all nominations received by the deadline and announce the winner by May 31st of each year.
Southside Virginia Chapter
Volunteer Award
Recognizes an active SSVA ASMC Member with top volunteer hours for the current reporting period (1 Apr – 31 Mar). The volunteer hours must be serviced through Southside Virginia Chapter Community service events.
No nomination will be required for this award. The Southside Virginia Chapter Community Service Chair will track all reported volunteer hours worked by the Chapter Members and identify an individual with the top volunteer hours. The winner will be announced by May 31st of each year.

Inspiring Leader Award
Recognizes an active SSVA Chapter ASMC Member for outstanding and continuous leadership, wisdom, guidance, mentorship and commitment to the Southside Virginia Chapter that made a positive impact on the SSVA Chapter and its members. The recipient of this award demonstrates extraordinary and exemplary leadership and mentoring skills and possesses an innate ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve their goals and cultivate their own abilities. Justification should cite specific examples and factual details of individual’s skills and accomplishments and must be submitted by 31 Mar of each year. Executive Board Members will review and judge all nominations received by the deadline and announce the winner by May 31st of each year.

Newcomer Award
Presented to an active SSVA ASMC Member with the highest number of new member referrals for the current reporting period (1 Apr – 31 Mar).
No nomination will be required for this award. The Southside Virginia Chapter Membership Chair will review all new applications and identify the Chapter Member with most referrals. The winner will be announced by May 31st of each year.
